Khaitan, SAM, Linklaters Act On JSW Energy’s ₹4000 Cr QIP

Khaitan & Co, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) and Linklaters advised on JSW Energy ₹4,000 crore QIP.

JSW Energy Limited has completed a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) raising approximately ₹4,000 crore (USD ~480 million) through the issuance of 7.61 crore equity shares. The capital raise marks a significant milestone for the company as it continues to advance its expansion strategy in India’s power and utilities sector.

Khaitan & Co advised JSW Energy Ltd on its QIP.

The deal team included Madhur Kohli, Vaibhav Mittal, Prathiksha Panduranga, Varshini Puni, Siddharth Jain, Srishti Jain and Aryan Agarwal.

SAM acted as Indian legal counsel to the Book Running Lead Manager, Jefferies India Private Limited, in relation to the QIP.

The Capital Markets team was led by Partners Nikhil Naredi and Devi Prasad Patel, along with Senior Associate Rishika Sharma, Associates Soundarya M, and Kunika Agarwal.

Linklaters acted as international legal counsel to the BRLMs.

The team was led by Amit Singh, supported by Joseph Wolpin and Utkarsh Mishra.
