Talwar Thakore & Associates (TT&A) and S&R Associates have advised on Tata Motors Limited’s acquisition of an incremental stake in Freight Commerce Solutions Private Limited (Freight Tiger).
Tata Motors acquired an additional stake of approximately 18% through the purchase of different classes of shares from Lightspeed India Partners I, LLC, Florintree Infra LLP and Swapnil Shah for an aggregate consideration of approximately INR 95.66 crore.
Following completion of the transaction, Tata Motors’ shareholding in Freight Tiger increased to approximately 63%, resulting in Freight Tiger becoming a subsidiary of Tata Motors. The investment is expected to accelerate Freight Tiger’s initiatives aimed at improving effectiveness and efficiency across the truck and freight ecosystem.
