JSA, Dentons Link Legal Act On Chubu Electric’s $145 Mn Investment In Continuum Green Energy

JSA and Dentons Link Legal advised on Chubu Electric Power’s US$145 million investment in Continuum Green Energy.

The investment will be made through a combination of primary subscription and secondary acquisition of equity shares. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals, including approval from the Competition Commission of India.

The transaction reflects the continued growth of India’s renewable energy market and the increasing importance of clean energy procurement for commercial and industrial customers, including Japanese companies operating in India.

Continuum Green Energy supplies renewable power to commercial and industrial customers across India through corporate power purchase agreements and operates wind and solar power projects across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, and Karnataka.

JSA Advocates & Solicitors advised Continuum Green Energy on the transaction.
