Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer (HSF Kramer) and Gilbert + Tobin advised on EQT Group’s acquisition of Orikan from Five V Capital.
Global private markets firm EQT Group has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Orikan, a global technology company providing integrated parking, enforcement, and compliance solutions, from Five V Capital.
Orikan provides technology-led solutions to customers across government, transport, healthcare and education, with its integrated platform supporting parking operations, compliance and enforcement activities across multiple jurisdictions.
The company was formed through the merger of Australian smart cities company DCA Cities and New Zealand parking technology company Global Parking Solutions and serves hundreds of government and private sector customers across Australia, New Zealand and North America.
The transaction will see EQT partner with Orikan’s management team to support the company’s next phase of growth through continued investment in service delivery, product development, customer operations, and data and artificial intelligence capabilities. The transaction is expected to complete by the end of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
