Baker McKenzie, Hengeler Mueller and Gleiss Lutz advised BMW and AUMOVIO on the EUR 350 million settlement relating to warranty claims regarding an integrated braking system.
Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft (BMW) and AUMOVIO have reached a settlement resolving all pending legal proceedings relating to warranty claims concerning an integrated braking system supplied by AUMOVIO Germany GmbH, which emerged from the spin-off of Continental AG’s automotive business.
Under the settlement, AUMOVIO will pay EUR 350 million to BMW. The parties have also entered into a long-term supply and development agreement focused on braking technologies and electronic solutions for future vehicle platforms, including new orders with a volume of more than EUR 1 billion.
Baker McKenzie advised and represented BMW in several court proceedings relating to the integrated braking system and the subsequent settlement.
