Kirkland & Ellis, Latham & Watkins Act On Triton Partners’ Acquisition Of United Initiators 

Kirkland & Ellis and Latham & Watkins advised on Triton Partners’ acquisition of United Initiators from Equistone Partners Europe.

Triton Partners has agreed to acquire United Initiators from funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe. United Initiators is a global manufacturer focused on peroxide-based specialty chemicals, with production facilities across Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The transaction is subject to customary and regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Kirkland & Ellis advised Triton Partners on the acquisition.

The team included restructuring lawyers Christian Halàsz, Friedrich Schlott, Ann-Kathrin Ziegler, Paul Päfgen, Jonathan Hain and Carolin Paus; corporate lawyers Mirjam Meyer, Michael Döppner and Alice Treuleben-von Gans; debt finance lawyers Alexander Längsfeld and Sebastian Trompler; and tax lawyer Tim Nobereit.

Latham & Watkins advised funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe on the sale of United Initiators to Triton Fund 6.

The Latham team was led by Munich corporate partners Burc Hesse and Stephan Hufnagel and Frankfurt restructuring partner Daniel Splittgerber, with associates Jeremias Bura, Giulia Zöller, Marcel Endrich, and Leo Stelz. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Munich partner Ulf Kieker.
