Paul, Weiss and Clifford Chance advised on Apollo-managed funds’ £5.7 billion acquisition of easyJet.
Apollo-managed funds have agreed to acquire easyJet plc, the pan-European low-cost airline, in a recommended cash acquisition valuing the business at approximately £5.7 billion (US$7.7 billion). Under the terms, easyJet shareholders will receive £7.15 per share or may roll their existing shares into an Apollo entity holding their investment in easyJet.
The cash offer represents an 81% premium to easyJet’s undisturbed share price in May 2026. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the first quarter of 2027, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals, including UK and European aviation-related approvals.
Paul, Weiss is the lead legal adviser to the Apollo-managed funds on the acquisition.
