Khaitan & Co and HSA Advocates advised on Purvah Green Power’s acquisition of six renewable energy companies from ReNew Solar Power.
Purvah Green Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of CESC Limited, has agreed to acquire six renewable energy companies from ReNew Solar Power Private Limited pursuant to a Share Purchase Agreement signed on August 10, 2026.
The target companies — ReNew Hans Urja, ReNew Solar Photovoltaic, ReNew Wind Energy (Karnataka 3), ReNew Wind Energy (MP Four), ReNew Wind Energy (Karnataka 4) and ReNew Agni Power — own and operate renewable energy projects across Rajasthan and Karnataka. The acquisition is expected to increase Purvah Green Power’s operational capacity to more than 1.8 GWp and its total portfolio to approximately 4.8 GWp.
Khaitan & Co advised Purvah Green Power Private Limited, the purchaser, on the acquisition of the six renewable energy companies from ReNew Solar Power Private Limited. The core team comprised Prashant Sirohi, Anuj Singh Chauhan, Pooja Ravikrishnan, Divisha Dwivedi and Abhishek Choudhary, with assistance from Sudhir Bassi (Capital Markets) and Raghav Bajaj (Direct Tax).
HSA Advocates advised ReNew Solar Power Private Limited, the seller, on the sale of the six renewable energy projects housed in six SPVs to Purvah Green Power. The transaction involved projects with a combined capacity of 1,055 MW, according to HSA’s announcement.
The team was led by Partner Pranav Kumar Singh, along with Partners Armin Pardiwala and Aditya Khandelwal, assisted by Attorneys Annapurna Sreehari and Muneera Shabbeer.
