Juris Corp advised ENBD Global Services LLC (part of Emirates NBD Group) (ENBD) on setting up of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India. The firm provided end-to-end strategic legal support in this mandate. This included navigating banking and corporate structuring and other financial regulatory considerations in relation to incorporation of the GCC and operationalising the GCC post incorporation.
The firm also advised in the regulatory issues in managing and acquiring talent pool, by assisting in migration of part of the existing set up and ensuring compliance with applicable corporate and regulatory requirements. The firm assisted in adapting global governance standards to the Indian context.
GCC are shaping India’s landscape in providing specialised services for offshore entities in especially the IT Research and Development (R&D) space. The growth of GCCs in India is primarily from key drivers like Government incentives, liberalised legal framework supporting overseas finding and availability of a diverse talent pool.
