Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) and Khaitan & Co advised on Brookfield India REIT’s acquisition of Arliga Ecoworld Business Parks Private Limited for approximately US$1.5 billion, marking the largest real estate investment trust transaction in India to date.
The transaction involves the acquisition of Ecoworld, a marquee Grade A office campus in Bengaluru spanning approximately 7.7 million square feet, from a fund managed by Brookfield Asset Management. The deal significantly expands Brookfield India REIT’s operating portfolio and strengthens its presence in one of India’s most prominent office markets.
