White & Case, Clifford Chance Act On Tescan Group’s Sale To Shimadzu

White & Case and Clifford Chance advise on $850 million sale of Tescan Group to Shimadzu.

White & Case LLP has advised Carlyle on its agreement to sell Tescan Group (“Tescan”), a leading manufacturer of electron microscopes and advanced scientific and analytical instruments, to Shimadzu Corporation, a global provider of analytical and measuring technologies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by Partners Ken Barry and Mike Weir (both London) and included Partners Will Lund (Abu Dhabi) and Jonathan Weinberg (Prague), Shino Asayama (Tokyo), Local Partner Jana Chwaszcz and Tax Consultant Milan Horak (both Prague) and Associates Zack Trumper (Abu Dhabi and London), Justin Leung, Brendan Lian and Ross Power (all London), Gabrielle Blahoudkova and Katerina Hudeckova (both Prague) and Akira Nakazato (Tokyo).

Clifford Chance served as legal adviser to Shimadzu.
