Poovayya & Co. announced recently that Anjali Menon has joined them as a Partner in their Corporate practice group at Bangalore.
An alumna of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad (Batch of 2008), Anjali brings over 15 years of experience in corporate and commercial law. She joined Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co. in 2008, where she spent nearly four years in the corporate and capital markets teams, followed by over four and a half years at Poovayya & Co. in Bengaluru. She eventually transitioned from these roles and founded Express Law in March 2017.
As a member of the firm’s Corporate Advisory vertical, Anjali will focus on general corporate work, employment and workplace compliance. Anjali provides counsel on complex employment matters, with specialized expertise in the inquiry process for sexual harassment complaints. In addition to guiding Internal Committees through regulatory requirements, she frequently serves as the External Member on these committees for several corporate clients. She also specialises in the drafting and negotiation of a diverse array of commercial contracts and regularly assists clients with master service agreements, outsourcing arrangements, franchise agreements, and distribution contracts, ensuring that every legal document aligns with their specific operational goals.
Furthermore, Anjali provides strategic advice to founders navigating the early stages of a startup.
