Mallesons, Allens Act On NEXTDC’s A$1 Bn Hybrid Securities Issuance Backed By La Caisse

Mallesons and Allens advised on NEXTDC’s A$1 billion hybrid securities issuance backed by La Caisse.

NEXTDC Limited (ASX: NXT), Australia’s largest listed data centre operator, has undertaken an A$1 billion hybrid securities issuance, supported by a binding commitment from Québec-based global investment group La Caisse.

The hybrid securities, structured as a rare 100-year subordinated debt instrument, will provide flexible, long-term capital to support NEXTDC’s expanding data centre platform across Australia and Asia. The transaction responds to increasing demand for digital infrastructure driven by artificial intelligence and cloud adoption.
