Steven brings outstanding expertise across the full spectrum of HMRC interventions—from complex investigations and litigation to alternative dispute resolution—and is joined by four experienced colleagues who will strengthen our capabilities in this fast-evolving space.

The market has shifted, with HMRC adopting a more assertive enforcement stance and clients facing increasingly complex and high-stakes tax challenges. Our decision to build a dedicated Tax Disputes and Investigations team is a direct response to this shift—and a reflection of our commitment to helping clients engage constructively with regulators, manage risk effectively and resolve disputes with clarity and confidence.”

Alongside his team, Steven significantly enhances our tax and disputes offerings, addressing a key gap in our capabilities. His broad experience across direct and indirect tax, property, and employment tax, and HNWI matters will be central to building a leading Tax Disputes and Investigations practice.”
