Connell Foley LLP has added Suprotik (Supro) Das as a Partner in the firm’s Corporate & Business Law Practice in the New York office. He is a dual-qualified attorney, admitted to practice in both New York and India, and brings a diverse cultural background to his role. Das advises clients on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, and growth-stage financings across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
“We are thrilled to welcome Supro to Connell Foley,” noted Timothy E. Corriston, the firm’s Managing Partner. “His sophisticated cross-border transactional experience will further strengthen our Corporate & Business Law Group and enhance the services we provide to clients. Supro’s addition also represents an important step in the continued growth of our New York office and our broader strategic expansion in key markets.”
“Supro brings a valuable combination of practical business judgment and cultural fluency to our group,” said John D. Cromie, Chair of Connell Foley’s Corporate & Business Law Practice Group. “His background will strengthen our ability to support clients pursuing opportunities globally.”
Das represents strategic acquirers, investors, founders, family offices, and private equity sponsors in structuring, negotiating, and executing complex transactions, including multi-jurisdictional deals. He advises on corporate governance, transaction structuring, due diligence, and risk management, and serves as outside general counsel to high-growth technology startups, providing practical guidance on financings, strategic initiatives, and corporate operations.
His practice spans technology, manufacturing, real estate, and emerging growth businesses. Clients value his ability to combine legal expertise with commercial insight to deliver pragmatic solutions to complex legal and business challenges.
“Connell Foley has a remarkable legacy, and I am honored to be part of its growth story,” noted Das. “The firm’s commitment to investing in the next generation of talent while staying true to its core values creates a platform that is both deeply rooted and forward-looking. The firm’s client-focused culture, expansion of the New York platform, and commitment to serving businesses at every stage of their lifecycle strongly resonated with me.”
Das’s arrival, along with Partner Brett Theisen, who recently joined the Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy Group, further enhances Connell Foley’s Corporate and Business services for clients in the New York metro area and beyond.
Prior to joining Connell Foley, Das was at the recently merged FBT Gibbons as well as the boutique New York law firm RAITI PLLC. Das earned his LL.M. from New York University School of Law and his B.A., LL.B. Hons. (J.D. equivalent), magna cum laude, from Jindal Global Law School in New Delhi, India. He is admitted to practice in the state of New York and India.
