A&O Shearman along with Jenner & Block advised on the merger of US firm Winston & Strawn with the UK based Taylor Wessing. The new firm will operate under the name Winston Taylor.
This combination responds to increasing client demand for integrated U.S.-UK-EU counsel for business, people, and markets driving capital and innovation. The combined firm will include more than 1,400 lawyers, whose footprint is primarily in the U.S., UK, EU, Latin America and the Middle East, with 20 offices.
A&O Shearman advised Winston & Strawn LLP on its combination with Taylor Wessing, creating the new firm Winston Taylor. The team was led by Corporate Partner Maegen Morrison, with support from Alain Jalbert, Lydia Challen, Shaan Mann, Lewis Weaver, and Andreas Piepers.
