AZB & Partners, JSA, Hughes Hubbard & Reed and Baker McKenzie advised on Wipro’s acquisition of Harman Connected Services, the digital transformation solutions (DTS) business of the Samsung owned Harman.
The acquisition will enhance Wipro’s Engineering Research & Development and IT services capabilities, adding expertise in embedded software, digital engineering, and device engineering. The acquisition is part of a broader strategy by Wipro to sharpen its AI-led engineering services. As part of the agreement, over 5,600 DTS employees across the Americas, Europe and Asia will transition to Wipro upon the closing of the transaction by the end of the year, subject to regulatory approvals.
AZB & Partners represented Wipro Limited on its acquisition of the digital transformation solutions business of U.S.-based audio products maker, Harman (a Samsung company) for US$ 375 million, aiming to bolster its AI-led engineering services across sectors.

JSA is advising Harman International Industries Inc. (“Harman”), a Samsung company, on the India leg of the strategic global sale of its Digital Transformation Solutions business to Wipro at an overall deal value of up to approximately INR 3,125 crore (USD 375 million).
JSA closely supported the Baker McKenzie team on the global deal in handling all India-related structuring, regulatory, employment, and due-diligence aspects of the transaction.
