DayOne Data Centers’ subsidiary in Thailand secured a THB 28 billion (approximately USD 770 million) green financing facility for the development of a hyperscale data center campus at Chonburi Tech Park, within the Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate.
The financing, provided by a syndicate of six local and international commercial banks, represents one of the largest green loan transactions of its kind in Thailand. The proceeds will be used to fund the development, construction, and operation of a multi-building data center campus, supporting Thailand’s ambition to become a regional digital infrastructure hub. The financing incorporates green loan principles and includes bespoke structural features typical of large-scale project financings in the data center sector.
DLA Piper advised DayOne Data Centers’ subsidiary in Thailand. The firm acted as lead counsel to the borrower and sponsor across all aspects of the project financing, working with six local and international commercial banks.
