DMD Advocates and JSA Advocates & Solicitors advised on BASF group’s acquisition of Noble Seeds Private Limited.
Nunhems India Private Limited, a BASF group company, has entered into a transaction to acquire 100% of the equity share capital of Noble Seeds Private Limited pursuant to a share purchase agreement with its shareholders.
Nunhems houses BASF’s vegetable seeds business in India and, through the acquisition, aims to strengthen its market leadership in the Indian vegetable seeds segment. Noble Seeds, headquartered in New Delhi, is among India’s fastest-growing vegetable seed companies, with a pan-India presence and over 150 employees, and is a leading seller of cauliflower hybrid seeds in the country.
DMD Advocates acted as legal counsel to Noble Seeds Private Limited and its shareholders in connection with the transaction.
The transaction was led by Lead Partner Vihang Virkar (Mumbai Corporate Practice Group), along with Partner Monika Deshmukh and Associates Vanshikha Choraria and Nardeep Chawla.
JSA acted as legal advisor to Nunhems India Private Limited. The JSA team was led by Partner Siddharth Mody, with support from Principal Associate Niharika Rao and Associates Gavin Pereira and Prakhar Jain.
