Igneo Infrastructure Partners, a leading global infrastructure investment manager, has acquired OnStream, the second-largest smart meter asset provider in the UK, from Macquarie Specialised and Asset Finance, part of Macquarie Group’s Commodities and Global Markets.
Upon completion, Igneo will assume full control of OnStream and its core operations, financing the provision and installation of smart meters for energy suppliers in Great Britain and for meter point operators in Germany.
Freshfields advised Igneo Infrastructure Partners on the acquisition.
