IndusLaw Advised Sattva Group on initial public offering (IPO) by Knowledge Realty Trust, a joint venture between Blackstone Inc. and Sattva Group. The said IPO is set to raise USD 710 million, making it India’s largest Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). The REIT will comprise assets across six cities, including Bengaluru.
IndusLaw advised Sattva Group to conduct title due diligences for approx. 14 projects in Bengaluru, this included verifying property titles, ownership structures, and leasable areas. The due diligence process was essential in identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure that all assets that were put into were in full compliance with SEBI’s stringent requirements and facilitating a smooth and successful listing.
This diligence exercise will support the REIT’s access to capital and contribute to increased real estate transactions.
