Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India advised a consortium of JSW Steel and JFE Steel Corporation on its proposed acquisition of thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel India Private Limited, the Indian unit of German steel manufacturer thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel, Germany for a consideration of INR 4051 Crore. The closing of the transaction is subject to receipt of regulatory approval and fulfilment of customary conditions precedent as per the definitive documents.

The Transaction team comprised Partner Shinoj Koshy, Associates Anshul Semwal and Radhika Malpani. Real Estate team included Partner Vaibhav Suri, Managing Associate Manjul Mantri and Associate Nishi Yaduvanshi. Intellectual Property team included Partner Amit Panigrahi and Managing Associate Shireen Dhar.
