Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) and Trilegal advise on Brookfield India REIT’s ₹2,600 crore QIP.
Brookfield India Real Estate Trust has completed a qualified institutions placement (QIP) of 80,495,356 units, aggregating to approximately ₹2,600 crore.
The transaction marks the fourth institutional placement undertaken by Brookfield India REIT and reflects continued institutional investor interest in India’s commercial real estate sector. Sponsored by an affiliate of Brookfield Corporation, the REIT is India’s first institutionally managed public commercial real estate vehicle.
SAM acted as legal counsel to Brookfield India Real Estate Trust on the institutional placement.
The capital markets team was led by Partner Nikhil Naredi, along with Senior Associate Harini J, and Associates Mathangi K, Anaya Jain and Abhit Tanay. Jay Gandhi from the general corporate team provided strategic inputs on the transaction.
Trilegal advised the book-running lead managers, Kotak Mahindra Capital, Avendus Capital and JM Financial, on the QIP.
