Saraf and Partners acted for Vizag Multipurpose Terminal Private Limited (VMTPL), a joint venture between J M Baxi Ports & Logistics (J M Baxi Group) and INDIAN POTASH LIMITED (IPL), in relation to its partnership with Hindalco Industries Limited (HIL) for the development of an Alumina Handling Facility at the EQ-07 Berth (Visakhapatnam Port). The facility being developed at EQ-07 is set to become India’s first fully automated alumina export terminal, making it a leading cargo hub on India’s eastern coast.
The team led by Partner, Avirup Nag, was involved in structuring the contractual framework, drafting, reviewing, and assisting VMTPL/JMB in negotiating the Terminal Development Services Agreement with Hindalco.
