Saraf & Partners and S&R Associates advised on the strategic collaboration between Fortis Healthcare Limited and Gleneagles Healthcare India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of IHH Healthcare Berhad, for the provision of operation and maintenance services across five hospitals and one clinic in India.

Saraf and Partners represented Fortis Healthcare Limited in relation to its strategic collaboration with Gleneagles Healthcare India Private Limited for the provision of operation and maintenance services at five hospitals and one clinic operated by Gleneagles in India. The transaction is aligned with Fortis Healthcare’s broader strategy to expand its geographical and operational footprint in the Indian healthcare sector. Saraf advised Fortis on multiple aspects of the arrangement, including deal structuring, drafting and negotiation of the operation and maintenance agreement, regulatory advisory, and corporate governance requirements. The Saraf team was led by Senior Partner Vaibhav Kakkar and Partners Sahil Arora and Debarpan Ghosh. The competition aspects of the transaction were handled by Partner Akshayy S Nanda.

S&R Associates advised IHH Healthcare Berhad, a leading integrated global healthcare provider and the parent of Gleneagles Healthcare India, on the strategic collaboration with Fortis. As part of this collaboration, Fortis will take over the operation and management of five hospitals within the Gleneagles India network under an operation and maintenance services agreement.
