Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised NTPC Limited on a USD 100 million transaction for the development of a 50 MW solar power project in Sri Lanka. The project will be undertaken by Trincomalee Power Company Limited, a 50:50 joint venture between NTPC Limited and the Ceylon Electricity Board of Sri Lanka.
The transaction was led by Partner Prashant Sirohi supported by Senior Associate Tinnish Sharma, and Associate Madhvi Vangani. Partners, Anoop Rawat and Sagar Dhawan advised on the security-related aspects of the transaction documentation
