Slaughter & May, Cravath, Linklaters, Kirkland & Ellis Act On Shawbrook Group’s £348 Million IPO

Slaughter and May is advising Shawbrook Group plc (“Shawbrook”) on its initial public offering of Shawbrook’s ordinary shares with a team led by Christian Boney and Warwick Brennand, supported by Harry Gilbertson, Lewis Rowley, Ed Loftus, Tanyah Hamid and Emma Lewis, as well as for Shawbrook’s major shareholder, Pollen Street Capital, with a team led by Guy O’Keefe, supported by Ryan Law.

Slaughter and May worked as part of an integrated team with Shawbrook’s legal team, as well as Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, advised on matters of US law.

Linklaters has advised the underwriting banks on UK digital banking platform Shawbrook’s £348m initial public offering (IPO), the largest listing on the London Stock Exchange so far this year. At the offer price, Shawbrook’s market capitalisation was approximately £1.92bn. The Linklaters team was led by Global Co-Heads of Equity Capital Markets Pam Shores and James Wootton, and Corporate Counsel Asad Ahmed.

Kirkland & Ellis represented BC Partners in connection with the IPO of Shawbrook, a UK-based savings and lending bank, alongside Pollen Street Capital.
