Slaughter & May, Macfarlanes, Linklaters Act On NatWest’s £2.7 Bn Acquisition Of Evelyn Partners

Slaughter and May, Macfarlanes and Linklaters advised on NatWest’s £2.7 billion acquisition of Evelyn Partners.

NatWest Group plc has agreed to acquire Evelyn Partners from funds advised by Permira and Warburg Pincus for an enterprise value of £2.7 billion. The acquisition will create the UK’s leading private banking and wealth management business. The deal is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to complete in summer 2026.

Slaughter and May advised NatWest Group plc on the acquisition. The deal team included Partner David Watkins, Partner Nick Pacheco, Partner Thomas Peacock, Partner Adam Sriskandan along with Associates Danny Mills, Kudrat Agrawal, Tanyah Hamid, Will Thomas.

Macfarlanes advised Evelyn Partners on its sale to NatWest. The Macfarlanes team is led by M&A Partner Tom Rose, supported by M&A Senior Associate Steve Siopis, and Associates Helen Connolly, Cassandra Triandos and Will Davison.

Linklaters LLP acted as legal adviser to Permira Advisers Ltd. And Warburg Pincus LLC, the selling shareholders.
