Wilson Sonsoni, Argus, Morrison Foerster Act On SoftBank’s $6.5 Bn Ampere Computing Acquisition

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Argus Partners and Morrison Foerster advised on SoftBank Group Corp.’s US$6.5 billion acquisition of Ampere Computing.

On March 19, 2025, SoftBank Group Corp. announced that it will acquire Ampere Computing, a leading independent silicon design company, in an all-cash transaction valued at $6.5 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, Ampere will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of SoftBank Group and retain its name.

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Ampere on the transaction.
