Baker McKenzie and AZB & Partners advised on VAT Group’s CHF 110 million acquisition of Atonarp.
VAT Group AG, a leading global supplier of high-end vacuum valves and vacuum-sealing technology, has agreed to acquire Japan-based Atonarp Inc., including its Indian subsidiary Atonarp Micro-Systems India Private Limited, for a total consideration of approximately CHF 110 million.
The acquisition will be financed through a committed bilateral loan facility of CHF 110 million and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
The transaction supports VAT Group’s growth strategy by expanding its portfolio beyond core vacuum valve technologies. Atonarp is a pioneer in real-time molecular profiling and miniaturised mass spectrometry sensors, enabling in-situ monitoring for advanced semiconductor and industrial manufacturing processes, including next-generation semiconductor nodes.
Baker McKenzie advised VAT Group AG on all legal aspects of the cross-border acquisition.
