Slaughter & May and BDGS Associés advised RWS Holdings on its proposed acquisition of Acogroup.
RWS Holdings plc, a global AI solutions company, has agreed to acquire Acogroup, which together with its subsidiaries operates under the Acolad brand and is a global provider of language and content services across 22 countries in Europe and North America.
The acquisition is expected to expand RWS’s enterprise client base for its AI platforms, strengthen its position in regulated industries and support its shift towards larger, multi-year client relationships. Closing is expected by the end of March 2027, subject to completion of French Works Council consultation processes and certain regulatory approvals and foreign investment clearances.
Slaughter and May is advising RWS Holdings on the proposed acquisition.
The corporate team was led by Partner Christian Boney, with support from Associates Emma Lewis and Charles Papworth.
The competition team comprised Partner Lisa Wright, and Associates Alice Maldoom and Fathima Muinudeen.
BDGS Associés advised RWS Holdings on the French law aspects of the acquisition.
