Talwar Thakore & Associates (TT&A) and Saraf and Partners advised on Blueleaf Energy’s acquisition of Sanchore Renewable.
Virya Energy NV transferred 100% of its shareholding and debenture capital in Sanchore Renewable Private Limited to Blueleaf Energy India Investments Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based renewable energy platform backed by Macquarie. Sanchore Renewable owns and operates a 40 MW wind power project in Karnataka, which sells power under a long-term power purchase agreement with Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM).
The transaction forms part of Virya Energy’s portfolio management strategy and exit from its operational renewable energy assets in India, while reflecting continued investor interest in operational renewable energy assets in the country.
