Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys (LKS) and Dua Associates advised on the 100% acquisition of Raj Petro Specialities Private Limited by the Shell Group from the Brenntag Group.

Raj Petro is a leading manufacturer of petro-speciality products, with a strong domestic presence and business relationships in nearly 100 countries.

LKS acted for the Brenntag Group, providing comprehensive legal support across deal structuring, drafting, negotiations, execution of transaction documents, and deal closing. The transaction also involved key regulatory and competition law considerations. The LKS team was led by Srabonee Roy (Partner), supported by Hima Swetha A and Annanya Elhence (Associates), along with Neelambera Sandeepan (Partner) and Charms Mathews (Associate) from the Competition & Antitrust team.

Dua Associates advised the Shell Group, on all legal aspects of the transaction, including due diligence, structuring, documentation, negotiations, and closing-related advisory.
