Focus Law Asia LLC announced that Elizabeth Fong will be joining the firm as Director & Head Of Corporate.
Elizabeth brings deep expertise in building and scaling institutions, having served as the Founding General Counsel and Company Secretary of both GXS Bank, one of only two digital full banks licensed in Singapore, and Asia Pacific Exchange, where she played a key role in securing regulatory approvals. She is widely recognised for her leadership in corporate and commercial matters, with proven track record in regulatory licensing, corporate governance, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, technology and data, complex commercial negotiations, and charity and sustainability.
Her areas of practice include:
• Structuring, licensing, and scaling regulated entities in Singapore
• Corporate governance, board advisory and company secretarial across regulated sectors
• Corporate and commercial transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, banking and finance, and restructurings
• Regenerative legal advisory (carbon credits, sustainable finance, and community-led initiatives)
• ESG and charity law, including the governance of IPCs and non-profit entities
• Technology, artificial intelligence, data protection and privacy
