Kirkland, CAM, McCarthy, Goodwin Procter Advised On 26North’s Acquisition Of Controlling Stake In AVI-SPL

Kirkland & Ellis, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, McCarthy Tétrault and Goodwin Procter advised on 26North Partners LP’s acquisition of a controlling stake in AVI-SPL.

Kirkland & Ellis advised 26North Partners LP (26North), the next-generation alternatives platform founded by Josh Harris, on its agreement to acquire a controlling stake in AVI-SPL, the global leader in audio-video and unified communications technologies, from Marlin Equity Partners (Marlin) and other selling shareholders. Marlin and select shareholders will retain a minority interest in the company. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Kirkland team included corporate lawyers Ryan Brissette, Daniel Goldschmidt and Pete Martelli; debt finance lawyers Doug Tedeschi, Andrew Hurley and Jud Oswald; and tax lawyers Vivek Ratnam and Mike Beinus.

CAM advised 26North Partners LP (as Indian counsel) on its acquisition of a controlling stake in AVI-SPL, the global leader in audio-video and unified communications technologies, from Marlin Equity Partners and other selling shareholders.

The team was led by Pranay Chandran with the support from Shrishti Singh, Isha Tandon and Naman Jain. Abe Abraham with the support from Siddhi Kochar and Jay Bhaskar Sharma advised on the employment aspects of the transaction.
