Alex Robertson Joins Kirkland & Ellis As A Partner, Corporate Practice Group

Kirkland & Ellis announced that Alex Robertson has joined the Firm as a Partner in the Corporate Practice Group.

Alex is a talented lawyer with terrific experience across a range of complex M&A transactions for private equity sponsors as well as public and private companies,” said Jon A. Ballis, Chairman of Kirkland’s Executive Committee. “We’re excited to welcome him to the team.”

Mr. Robertson advises private equity firms and public and private companies on corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts and joint ventures. He has experience across a range of industries, with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure.

Previously a partner at Vinson & Elkins in Dallas, Mr. Robertson is active in the legal community and served as president of the Dallas Bar Association’s Mergers & Acquisitions Section in 2023 and vice president of the Texas Energy Law Association in 2022. Mr. Robertson received his law degree from the University of Texas, where he was a member of the Texas Law Review and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas and Energy Law.
