Khaitan & Co and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (SAM) advised on Marico’s acquisition of 93.27% stake in Zea Maize Private Limited (4700BC) from PVR INOX.

As part of the investment, Marico will acquire a 93.27% equity stake from PVR INOX, subject to the terms and conditions of the definitive agreements. The deal will enable Marico to strengthen its presence in the premium snacks category and expand its portfolio in the fast-growing gourmet segment.

This transaction marks a key expansion for Marico in the gourmet snacks segment while providing liquidity to existing investors and supporting the next growth phase of Zea Maize.

Khaitan & Co advised Marico Limited on its strategic investment in Zea Maize Private Limited (ZMPL), the company behind the premium gourmet popcorn brand ‘4700BC’.
