Latham & Watkins and Fried Frank advised on SoundHound AI’s acquisition of LivePerson.
SoundHound AI, Inc., a global leader in voice and conversational AI, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire LivePerson, a pioneer in enterprise conversational AI.
The transaction will combine SoundHound’s voice and agentic AI platform with LivePerson’s digital engagement capabilities, which power approximately one billion customer messages per month. The acquisition is expected to enhance SoundHound’s scale, revenue base and position as a leading provider of conversational AI solutions to enterprise customers.
Latham & Watkins LLP advised SoundHound AI on the transaction. The corporate deal team was led by Partner Max Schleusener, and Partners Luke Bergstrom and Lauren Lefcoe, with support from Associate Brian Baloun.
Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP advised LivePerson. The team included Philip Richter, Mark Hayek and Adam Cohen.
