Reliance Industries, through its media and entertainment division Jio Studios, initiated commercial intellectual property proceedings before the Bombay High Court in relation to advertisements and behind-the-scenes content allegedly featuring protected material and characters from the Hindi film Dhurandhar.
The Bombay High Court passed an order directing online intermediaries and unidentified third parties to take down and disable access to infringing advertisements and behind-the-scenes content featuring protected film material and characters.
Anand & Naik represented Reliance Industries Limited in the proceedings before the Bombay High Court concerning protection of intellectual property rights associated with the film Dhurandhar.
The matter was led by Founder & Managing Partner Ameet Naik, along with Deputy Managing Partner Madhu Gadodia, supported by Junior Counsel Aman Saraf, Associate Unnati Gambani and Trainee Associate Vinayika Shahi.
The Fort Circle represented MasterChow Foods in the IP infringement action before the Bombay High Court.
The matter was resolved through a negotiated settlement.
