AZB, Khaitan & Debevoise Act On Proposed JV Between Mahindra Group & Manulife

AZB & Partners, Khaitan & Co and Debevoise & Plimpton advised on the proposed 50:50 life insurance joint venture between Mahindra Group and Manulife.

AZB & Partners is acting as legal counsel to the Mahindra Group on its proposed 50:50 life insurance joint venture with Manulife.

The deal team comprised Senior Partner Darshika Kothari, Partner Kritika Agarwal, Associates Ashwin Vardarajan and Sanjana Samuel, with assistance on IP aspects from Counsel Arun Babu and Associate Ojas Date.

Khaitan & Co along with Debevoise & Plimpton advised Manulife on its proposed 50:50 greenfield life insurance joint venture in India with Mahindra & Mahindra. The partners have committed a combined investment of USD 800 million to be infused over the first ten years of the JV’s incorporation.

The deal was led by Nikhil Narayanan and Akhil Sharma with assistance from Shivam T., Shubham Chauhan and Ayush Gattani.
