Clifford Chance advised the lenders on the financing of Cinven’s strategic investment in Grant Thornton UK, one of the UK’s leading diversified professional services firms offering audit, tax and advisory services and led by 200+ partners with over 5000 employees. Grant Thornton’s UK partner base will remain invested in the business as a significant shareholder. This landmark transaction constitutes one of the most significant private equity investments in the UK accounting sector to date.
