Freshfields, Hengeler Mueller Advised HELLA On €300M Bond Issuance

Freshfields and Hengeler Mueller advised HELLA on €300 million unsecured bond issuance.

HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA issued a €300 million unsecured bond with a four-year term to September 2030 and a coupon of 5.25% p.a. The net proceeds are to be used in particular to refinance the bond maturing in January 2027. The bond was admitted to trading on the Euro MTF market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and was rated Ba1/NP by Moody’s and BBB- by Fitch.

The transaction was led by joint lead managers Deutsche Bank, Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg and UniCredit Bank.

Freshfields has advised MDAX-listed HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA on selected capital markets and corporate law matters in connection with the placement.

The Freshfields team was led by Partner Christoph H. Seibt and further comprised Principal Associate Jean Mohamed and Associate Dr. Jannik L. Maas, all from the Corporate/M&A/Capital Markets practice in Hamburg.

Hengeler Mueller advised HELLA on the issuance and placement of the bond.
