SAM, JSA Act On ₹981.73 Cr Finance For Khaba Renewable Energy’s Solar Project In Rajasthan

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) and JSA Advocates & Solicitors advised on Khaba Renewable Energy’s ₹981.73 crore project financing for its Rajasthan solar project.

Khaba Renewable Energy Private Limited, an ENGIE India entity, availed rupee term loan facilities aggregating to approximately ₹981.73 crore from the Indian branches of MUFG Bank, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, and BNP Paribas.

The financing will part-fund the development of a 250 MW (AC) / 362.50 MW (DC) solar photovoltaic power project located in Barmer, Rajasthan.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) advised Khaba Renewable Energy Private Limited and other participating ENGIE India entities in relation to the financing.

The transaction team was led by Partner Anurag Dwivedi, along with Principal Associate Megha Kaur, Senior Associate Shashwat Bhaskar, and Associates Amogh Mittal and Palak Jhalani.

JSA Advocates & Solicitors advised MUFG Bank, Crédit Agricole CIB and BNP Paribas in connection with the rupee term loan facilities.

The finance team was led by Partners Karan Mitroo and Purvi Dabbiru, with support from Principal Associate Aishwarya Dixit and Associate Riddhi Sri.

The diligence team comprised Partners Vishnu Sudarsan and Sugandha Somani Gopal, Senior Associates Amoolya Khurana and Asmita Maan.
