Trilegal Advised SGIC & NIIF On Ather Energy’s ₹2981 Cr IPO

Deal Makers

Trilegal advised Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, GIC, and India’s quasi-sovereign wealth fund, National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), on the initial public offering by Ather Energy. GIC and NIIF were the largest selling shareholders in the offer for sale, marking the first time both investors participated in an IPO in India through an Offer for Sale. Ather Energy’s IPO is the first mainboard IPO of FY26 in India and only the second by an electric vehicle (EV) company in the country.

The Capital Markets Team advising on the mandate was led by Partner Albin George Thomas, supported by Senior Associate Sowmya Khandelwal, and Associate Tushar Chitlangia.
