Paras Parekh Joins CMS IndusLaw As Partner In Mumbai

CMS IndusLaw has announced that Paras Parekh has joined as a Partner, further strengthening the firm’s dispute resolution and financial regulatory practice at their Mumbai Office.

Paras bring over two decades of experience in litigation and advisory work across securities, corporate, civil, commercial, and regulatory matters. He specialises in matters of white-collar crimes and securities laws, especially on regulatory actions. These include matters of takeovers, insider trading laws, market manipulation, delisting, prevention of money laundering provisions and other such regulations. He also regularly advises on compliance requirements such as insider trading regulations, listing requirements, stock broking regulations, merchant banking regulations, takeover regulations and regulations applicable to other capital market participants. He has also conducted internal audits to detect fraud and non-compliances for multinational funds, often taking a senior role in these investigations.

Paras regularly advises on regulatory and registration requirements before authorities such as Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) and Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), as well as on proceedings before the SEBI and RERA.

Paras has conducted and assisted in proceedings before the Supreme Court, High Courts, Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT), National Company Law Tribunals (NCLT), District Courts, Session Courts, RERA, arbitration tribunals and quasi-judicial proceedings before the SEBI and stock exchanges. He has represented FPIs (Foreign Portfolio Investors), merchant bankers, stock-brokers and other securities market intermediaries and organisations such as AMFI and NSDL in such proceedings.

He has also represented SEBI in matters before the SAT and High Courts.

Before joining CMS INDUSLAW, Paras was the founder of Paras Parekh Law Office. Earlier in his career, he was with law firms including AZB & Partners and JSA.
