Nishimura and Asahi announced that Shingo Ito has joined their London office as a partner.
Shingo is a solicitor in England and Wales who advises Japanese clients on a wide range of cross-border corporate transaction, including M&A and joint ventures.
Shingo began his career as a lawyer at Nishimura & Asahi in Tokyo, where he spent eight years specialising in banking and finance. In 2016, he relocated to London, gaining a decade of experience at leading international law firms before re-joining Nishimura & Asahi in London. Shingo has particular expertise in real estate and renewable energy investments by Japanese businesses. His practice combines deep corporate law knowledge with experience in structuring, debt financing and restructuring, allowing him to provide clients with seamless end-to-end legal support and help navigate complex transactions with confidence.
With his unique experience in both Tokyo and London, Shingo will continue to support Japanese clients on a wide range of corporate transactions. His return further strengthens the firm’s London location’s ability to provide on-the-ground support to Japanese businesses pursuing opportunities across Europe.
