Simpson Thacher Adds Victoria Salem As A Partner In Houston

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP announced that Victoria Salem has joined the Firm’s Houston office as a Partner in the Energy and Infrastructure Practice.

We are thrilled to welcome Victoria to our Energy and Infrastructure Practice, marking the continued expansion of our platform in Houston and beyond. Her deep understanding of project development and finance across a variety of transactions makes her a tremendous asset to our clients,” said Breen Haire, Co-Head of the Firm’s Energy and Infrastructure Practice and Co-Managing Partner of Simpson Thacher’s Houston office.

As the energy and infrastructure market grows more complex, clients are increasingly seeking counsel spanning project development, finance, M&A and more. Victoria’s legal acumen and knowledge of the energy and infrastructure sector across execution sets makes her a valuable advisor and partner for our clients. I’ve known Victoria for years and am excited to welcome her to the Firm,” said Eli Hunt, Co-Head of the Firm’s Energy and Infrastructure Practice.

Victoria advises global energy and infrastructure companies on transactions across the sector, including in the liquefied natural gas industry, and has a particular focus on project development and finance. With nearly two decades of experience in infrastructure, she has advised on transactions across North America, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. She also advises on other business and commercial matters in the sector, including development, joint venture, banking and capital markets transactions. Throughout her career, Victoria has held senior positions at leading global energy companies and in private practice, most recently as a partner at another large international law firm.

“Simpson Thacher is well known for advising on high-profile and impactful energy and infrastructure matters—from oil and gas to power generation and digital infrastructure. I am delighted to join such a talented and respected team and look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues to provide meaningful solutions to clients across the infrastructure sector,” said Victoria.
