Wadhwa Law Offices advised Minda Corporation Limited (Spark Minda), a leading Tier-1 automotive components supplier in India, on its strategic joint venture with Toyodenso Co., Ltd., a reputed Japanese manufacturer of automotive electronics.
The joint venture aims to deliver end-to-end solutions for the design, development, manufacturing, and marketing of automotive switches for the Indian automotive market. Minda Corporation will hold a 60% majority stake in the partnership. As part of the collaboration, the partners will establish a greenfield manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with commercial operations expected to commence in H2 FY 2026–27.
The partnership leverages Minda’s domestic manufacturing expertise and market presence alongside Toyodenso’s advanced technological capabilities in automotive electronics. It also aligns with the Make in India initiative and responds to the increasing demand for high-quality, localised mobility solutions.
