Sullivan & Cromwell and Ropes & Gray advised on Agilent Technologies’ $950 million acquisition of Biocare Medical.

Agilent Technologies, a global leader in analytical and clinical laboratory technologies, has agreed to acquire Biocare Medical in an all-cash transaction valued at $950 million.

The acquisition strengthens Agilent’s immunohistochemistry offering and expands its ability to serve a wide range of pathology laboratories across clinical and research settings.

Biocare Medical is a recognized leader in immunohistochemistry (IHC) and molecular pathology solutions, with more than 300 specialized antibodies and a robust R&D capability.

Sullivan & Cromwell advised Agilent Technologies. The deal team was led by Pete Jones and Greg Travers.

Ropes & Gray advised Biocare Medical on the transaction.
