Ashurst is advising the UK Government on its efforts to help safeguard the future of British Steel. Ashurst has also been advising the UK Government on its agreement with Tata Steel to invest in Port Talbot by providing a grant worth up to £500 million for a new Electric Arc Furnace for greener steel production. Tata Steel will add a further £750 million, bringing the total investment to £1.25 billion.
